Not bad to start with, but the end user might want to upgrade.

Overall I like the kit and in parts it is worth it. After reading all the reviews and some negative final results along with pictures of bugs. I've come up with my own "fix it before it breaks" plan. For stripping wire from forged wedges, I added a 3/16 Crosby/Home Depot clamp #140 252 wire clamp and thimble sets to each factory clamped end connection. (prevention) For the cable ends, I chose to use eyebolts 1/2 shank X 12" through the wood with G clamps so nothing can come loose. The best benefit of using long eyebolts (just start threading and plan You do your work so you can use the extra threads to pull the cord when you're ready) After pulling the cord as tight as I can (100 feet) with a helper I used the two Crosby clamps that came with it to secure it (helps when using liquid soap by pulling it through the ends to avoid fighting the friction and preventing damage to the cable cover. I faced straight and tense. (not tight but stays just straight ) Also it stretches after a while and may need to be snuggled back together ) So far so good I have a 12 month old 98lb Rhodesian Ridgeback mix with all of the energy a pup has to offer and tug at it with no problem, we don't let it be neglected for many reasons. 1. He can end up outlining trees. 2. Even if the main cable is more than 7 feet off the ground, the cable tends to get stuck under it, beware of injury. 3. We also only used it with strapping.

Pros
  • Pleasant to use
Cons
  • Quality
