First, the humidity provided by this machine was weak. It runs all night and generates only 40% humidity. 40% say it works in a medium sized room based on the description. Another advertising claim about this humidifier was that it was easy to clean. Not true - difficult to clean. You have to reach into the water tank with your hand and it is difficult to reach all corners of the tank. The base wasn't much easier to clean than the tank, but it started leaking after the first cleaning. The water just flows to the surface. Three tries and I still can't figure out where it's leaking. My only guess is that the water is coming through one of the screws or the black safety knobs on the bottom. I fill it with water and after half an hour all the water has drained out. And the engine was OFF two times out of three. This machine is dangerous and could have started a fire in my house. It also comes with a small round sponge that gets moldy easily. I DO NOT RECOMMEND this product. Bite the bullet, spend $$ and buy BONECO.
