I purchased this unit for my gun cabinet that is in my garage. I've been struggling with humidity for a while since we've been in North Carolina and the humidity gets pretty high at times. I've always depended on silica gel canisters, but sometimes I've had to reactivate them almost every week. Since installing this dryer 3 months ago I have not had to refill my canisters. I suspect I'll need to do this more often in the summer months, but I can already say that the dryer has raised my temperature and lowered my humidity greatly. I added a pressure sensor that sends data to my phone to determine temperature and humidity. The pressure sensor is another great product that I highly recommend if you are interested in staying up to date with this information. I went to our local hardware store and bought a better plug for it after reading some other reviews and getting the unit. You can tell that the plug that comes with it is pretty cheap. I just felt better having a heavier fork to go with it. It's pretty easy to install and I highly recommend this dryer for reducing humidity in your safe.
