My son just turned 3 years old and in the first few years of his life he got used to sleeping without a pillow. As many parents of young children know, introducing something new can be challenging. For a while he got annoyed when I tried to give him this pillow when he went to bed and threw it out of his bed. He also suffers from an intermittent cough (apparently due to postnasal drip), and one of the best ways to deal with this problem is to elevate your head a little while you sleep. At first I put this pillow under the head of the mattress to elevate him, but eventually I realized I could just lift his head after he fell asleep to put the pillow on it. He got used to it and now enjoys it. The pillow itself is fine. It's relatively flat and the filling is pretty average; I'm used to foam pillows myself so I wouldn't freak out, but it's soft enough for my son. The fabric of the supplied case is good; It's all organic cotton and the design is cute. It is easy to take off for washing but stays in place when put on. The pillow is also washable. It comes folded in half and it took quite a while to get it back to the flat pillow shape as it didn't want to be folded. Generally a good first pillow for a baby.
