Doesn't work on my Mac.

I have this adapter That's how I can How to connect an external USB 2.0 hard drive to my new iMac which only has USB-C ports but doesn't work on my 2021 iMac. I double checked the disk on two different Macs and it works as long as I don't use an adapter. The problem is that my new Mac only has USB-C ports, so the adapter I bought didn't quite live up to my expectations.

Pros
