I built the litter box to be smelly and clutter free. The problem is that it's dark at night. Even though cats see great at night, I still found it annoying having to make them poop in the dark. This light solves that problem. The motion sensor is sensitive enough for the fluffy balls to work. You can adjust the brightness and in my case I turned it all the way down to the lowest setting. (No one likes being blinded by the bathroom light when they wake up in the middle of the night and ring the bell.) The best thing I did was use the included 3m sticky magnet to stick it on top of the toilet to attach, and when I need to charge it, it's easy to remove and even easier to put back on when I'm done charging. I don't know if cats like it because they can't talk but I love it and would recommend it.
