I thought this product would be similar to many other small appliances I've bought ie. large, clunky, on the go, difficult to use and clean, seldom used, like my meat grinder and dehydrator (both are giving away). The good news is none of the above. It's tiny and compact, easy to use and clean, and I used it twice in the first week. I looked at the instructions, then just took the blades off (can't believe the reviewer said it was tough) and washed everything, then rolled 3 zucchini into a wonderful salad. Cleaning is nothing more than a quick rinse and maybe a little brushing. Two days later I wanted to try harder veggies, so I shelled a squash with nuts that my wife bought and never used. It spiraled like butter and became a gourd that didn't need to be thrown in the composter. Vegetables come out clean and dry (not bruised), the only potential downside is the 6-inch max capacity. You can't shove a 12-inch zucchini in there with one shot. Others have complained about half an inch of waste when they're done, but I just popped the ends of the zucchini in my mouth for a quick snack, and if you're really worried about waste they can be chopped or sliced .
