The hard leather strap is slightly smaller than expected. Buy one size larger and adjust as needed.

I have a 33-34 inch waist so I was expecting a size 34 belt to fit. Unfortunately, although a size 34 fits me well, I'm not on the middle notch - I'm on the penultimate notch. .Looks like the belt is made entirely of high quality leather. Very good in that regard. Nice and wide if you like the straps that fill the loops. The buckle is attached with an adjustable pin, so it's very easy to make the strap, which is on the large side, smaller if you want.
