I agree with the vast majority of the favorable comments made on this page; they are objective. I do not evaluate any of the headphones in an abstract manner; rather, I do so for me, specifically for the purpose of listening to rock on the player while riding the subway. The identical model is used as a home monitor, however for my needs, it is more appropriate than the vast majority of others! HM-601, Oppo Clover, and Fiio Q1 were the players that I listened to. The benefits of it include: I appreciate the sound since it is balanced and there are no visible jambs. Sibilants don't drink! The pricing is comparable to the quality of the sound. The stereo effects can be heard and they sound good. Excellent sensitivity; a heavy-duty player is not required. Cons: It's possible that the volume of the cell phone won't be loud enough to hear on the metro. The highs have a slight whistling quality (perhaps the monitor nature of these headphones brings out the shortcomings of my players). Landing is not a perfect position for me because they press on my head and the ear pads are not really plush. The cord is quite lengthy and cannot be removed. They don't have a particularly refined appearance on their heads.
