Before I bought it I contacted customer service with some general questions. This included support for parts, differences between Coreboot and AMI BIOS, and a few others. They were very pleasant and informative and did not put any pressure on my interest in the product. What makes this purchase a better deal than other vendors is that they offer US support and offer a variety of hardware and support options compared to the base models, which are really just bare-bones. I've run Untangle on this unit, tried the console cable connector and can connect another to add a VMware host to my lab. All in all, I can highly recommend using Protectli.
