Excellent kitchen but with some problems. Having used it for over a year now, I can say that I use it often for indoor grilling. I like the way it is prepared and the products that result from it. The chicken is nice and juicy as is the pork. It goes without saying that the burgers are great. Now for the problems: fat sometimes doesn't get into the fat drawer and ends up behind the grate on the worktop. Not bad, but uncomfortable. Now the main thing. The non-stick coating on the plates is easy to remove. I've had two ribbed surfaces and both had the non-stick coating worn off within 11 months and I'm very careful about cleaning. I just use soap, water and a soft nylon brush. I tried contacting the company to see if there was anything I could do under the one year warranty but never received a response. Both phone messages and emails went unanswered. I think I really like the grill because I ended up breaking it and ordered two new plates just to replace the ones that ran out of nonstick. Just an update. (2020) After I replaced both plates in 2018 because the non-stick coating came off, I now have to think about it again. These plates, which I took great care in cleaning, lasted a little longer than the original pair. So plan to replace the heating plates every 1 1/2 to 2 years when the non-stick coating wears off. Unfortunately I looked at a competitor product and according to reviews it has a similar problem with the nonstick coating on cooktops. Does anyone make a product that will make the nonstick cooker last longer?
