These bags are really well made, thick and hold dirt without blowing it up. They will get clogged with dirt before you have to replace them. I've used thinner bags with other vacuums but fine particles of dirt came out so spend more for a better product. If you want to save money you can recycle them by slicing them open when full, shaking off the dust (very messy though), then tape the bag together and use more. Maybe only once per bag. I don't do it now, but I did in the past.
