This is a very strong and well built U-lock. I personally use it on my bike and have not been disappointed. A few notes: It's quite large and heavy. That in itself is a testament to how well built this lock is, but it adds weight to the pack. Just something to be aware of. The lock has a very large "reach" due to the design of the locking mechanism. So I had no problem locking in awkward positions. The locking mechanism is very, very smooth. As a result, you might be surprised at how quickly it slides out when unlocked. If you unlock it upside down, it can easily land on your foot and you can see the stars. So be careful. After about 3 months of use, it shows no signs of rust or wear. Very well done. I definitely recommend this castle.
