Review on 🖊️ Westcott iPoint Curve Black/White Electric Pencil Sharpener - Anti-microbial Product Protection (14766) by Kristen Simpson

For two years my students have complained about the X-ACTO sharpener in my classroom. I finally gave in and ordered this one. This is very fast and very accurate. It sharpens most pencils in just a few seconds and brand new pencils in less than 10 seconds. Very good. My students are grateful. I'm happy. After a month of use, however, I have a few complaints. Twice I dumped shavings on myself. The chip holder comes out of mine too easily. Clean up is a terrible mess every time because graphite gets on the chair, floor, clothes and hands when I try to clean it up. My school tiles still have graphite on them. I would like the chip container to fit better and stay there. I also think that this sharpener has a design flaw. Yes, fast, but this will clog the chips in there pretty quickly. Then I have to take it apart and tap out the chips manually. It's not as easy as it looks because of the shape. This sharpener is the narrowest where I try to knock out the shavings. I have yet to find something that will fit in there and effectively remove all of the shavings. Very frustrating. If it weren't so tight in the middle, it probably wouldn't have this problem. Advantages: very fast, very accurate Disadvantages: clogs easily - difficult to clean
