Let me first say the seller was great and fixed the problem right away. Okay, so I decided to use it with a gold finish on top. I thought it makes the table more durable because the top is magnetic so if you put the white side on it it might slide off. However, using the gold side will hook the sides to the tables, making them less likely to fall apart. I would recommend that you pull on the legs when moving it rather than the top especially if you have things on the table. When I tried to put the gold on it and place the legs at right angles, it scratched the white part touching the legs. I was disappointed that it scratches so easily, especially as I might change my mind and would like to use it with white on top. I suggest being very careful when adjusting the legs as the material scratches easily. I am attaching a picture of the scratch. It's pretty minor and when I emailed the seller they immediately sent a replacement so very happy with it!
