Review on Vintage Leather Backpack Perfect College Backpacks by Rick Malloy

I got this backpack in 2009 for the First bought for my wife in grad school. When she finished her studies, it turned out she didn't need it, so I switched to it from my portfolio. For almost a decade it has been in continuous daily use as my overcrowded mobile office, including countless plane and train journeys. The variety of subjects is perfect for organization. I often carry a 15 inch laptop and tablet with me along with various cables, accessories, headphones, tomes, etc. It's very strong and durable, protects electronics well, and is beautiful enough for professional use. A decade later, the old one is still usable but a bit jagged around the edges. I looked around for alternatives and then ordered the exact same backpack because it fits my needs perfectly. Here's another ten years. UPDATE (11/21/20): I had to revise my review. After using this bag for a few months with relatively light use (very little travel due to COVID) the hand strap broke. I've added two photos to this post: the first shows the stitched strap attachment that ripped on the new bag when it was honked at the airport between flights, and the second shows the much stronger leather strap rivet connection on the original bag, which was a long one Time. 10 years+. In fact, all the functional rivets that were on the old bag have been removed on the new one, and only purely aesthetic rivets remain. I am disappointed that the quality is far from there. I also don't think the zippers on the new bag will be as strong as they snap more easily and don't work as smoothly. It's still a nice bag, but it doesn't stand up to the trips I usually take. Rating downgraded from 5 to 3 stars.
