This smaller laptop table is a very versatile item. I have actually been buying this item for years. They're virtually indestructible and don't have the extra cushions or pads that many large portable tables have; Also, it's one of the smallest of its kind. I have several types of portable tables to hold my iPad and laptop, plus: drawing pads, plates for food, and for any work that requires a hard surface. My laptop is on a bedside table on wheels (very heavy and not portable): so I found this size and type of portable desk or holder to be more suitable for me as it is very useful. Also, many of my large computer desks have padding and even a small flexible light and sometimes even a fan. There are many different versions of this type of product. So for my daughters who use their laptops while sitting in bed. it probably wouldn't have been her choice. But for maximum functionality and minimum design quality. it's a proven winner.
