Almost perfect for toothbrushes and accessories

Wow. I like the UV disinfection and charging station that comes with the Aquasonic Black Series Pro. The kit also includes 6 brush heads and a compact USB-powered travel case for charging and sanitizing brush heads when travelling. When I first started using a UV sanitizer based battery powered toothbrush, I wasn't looking for anything. also as a replacement for my Sonicare toothbrushes. But my usefulness of Sonicare toothbrushes didn't last more than 2 years at a time, then they got noisy and finally stopped vibrating. I haven't found many brands with UV sanitizer. I found 2 and have now tried and reviewed them. Another brand I found is mentioned below. The Aquasonic toothbrush with the Proflex cleaning tip cleans very well. I think it's good value for money and UV disinfection. The main base of UV disinfection and charging seems workable; Can the UV lamp element be replaced? I see a tab that can be pulled out to access the bulb element, but I didn't remove it to test my theory. Ease of use would be a plus. For the price I give 5 stars. I think the ergonomics need to be improved. I find the power button on the toothbrush too sensitive to accidental contact with my hand. For me, the button is the easiest place to maneuver my toothbrush. I have to change my grip to avoid prematurely disabling the brush action. Then there is a UV disinfection based door; My memory muscle prefers the Philips Sonicare UV disinfection door, which is easy to open with one hand. I'm learning to open this Aquasonic door with one hand, but it's also awkward. This is the memory muscle. I'm learning that I can open a door with one hand if I put my fingers on it and feel with my thumb to find the crack to open it. If I don't hold him that tight when I open the door, I'll just push him away or knock him over; unless there's something behind it holding it in place. So it's possible, and probably all the memory muscles are relearned. Also adjust the handle so I don't accidentally end the brushing cycle before the timer is up. I recently tested another Sonicare toothbrush that had perfect buttons on the toothbrush; My hand is still next to the power button, but I didn't accidentally turn it off. Beautlinks brand. I really liked the toothbrush, but its tips were not compatible with the Sonicare brand, unlike Aquasonic. In terms of ergonomics, the UV sanitizer lid was actually a cup that snapped onto the UV sanitizer and toothbrush charger. In fact, I liked it less than the Aquasonic door approach on the main base. The point is that ergonomics are important; But at this price I'm not deducting a star. But mention it in hopes that later models will improve the ergonomics factor. Update September 13, 2021: I wanted to add that as a reviewer for Vine, I did a review of some third-party alternative toothbrush heads for Sonicare toothbrushes. While I have reported that the Aquasonic Black Series Pro is compatible with Sonicare, I have found that these alternative third party compatible devices are not compatible with the Aquasonic Black Series Pro. Initial studies have shown that Aquasonic Proflex is compatible with Sonicare; However, I've just tried the Aquasonic Proflex brush head on my new Sonicare Expert Clean 7700 and it fits, but I've found that pressing the brush head down slightly makes the vibration very loud. For your information, the Sonicare 7700 is compatible with all Sonicare brush heads except the Sonicare Kids toothbrush. I had an alternative third-party brush head that claimed to be compatible with all current brushes (Sonicare toothbrushes?). Well, upon closer inspection, the Vine sticker that is added to the Vine item points to Sonicare Kids. I didn't notice that before. If you look closely at the brush head, there is a metal ring inside. These metal or plastic rings appear to be compatible with the Aquasonic Black Series Pro but not the Sonicare Expert Clean 7700. This is just a theory but it appears that the Aquasonic is compatible with Sonicare Kids but not all compatible Sonicare -Alternatives. So I tried the Expert Clean brush head on the Aquasonic; that seems to work. I then tried Aquasonic Proflex on the Sonicare Expert Clean 7700; This result was noisy. One more thing to add and I'm done: I had a new third-party alternative toothbrush head for the Vine test; This replacement Aoremon toothbrush head was not working as expected on the Aquasonic Black Series Pro. If I put the brush head all the way down, the vibration cleaning effect is reduced. By placing the same attachment on my Sonicare Expert Clean 7700 it can go all the way down without suppressing the vibration effect. For further reference, Aquasonic Duo is not compatible with Aquasonic Proflex tips. However, Aquasonic Black Series Pro is compatible with all Aquasonic tips, with the exception of Aquasonic Duo tips. But it looks like the Sonicare replacement brush heads might work with the Aquasonic Black Series Pro toothbrush. Sonicare has changed when comparing the connector ends of the two devices (Aquasonic Black Series Pro and Sonicare Expert Clean 7700) so the compatibility of these third party compatible devices may vary. Always use caution when purchasing third party replacement heads claiming to be compatible with Sonicare.

Pros
  • Kills 99.99% of germs with UV disinfection. Hygiene is more important than ever, and rinsing the brush heads does little to kill germs left in the mouth. The Black Series Pro solves this problem with an auto-timed UV disinfection chamber that kills 99.99% of germs and prevents them from multiplying until the next brushing session. The included travel case with UV protection and charging ensures proper oral hygiene when travelling.
Cons
  • Slightly torn
