A little disappointed.

I'm going to talk about two boards. I had one for about 6 years and then this new Winmau board. This board replaced my Shot Bandit Plus board that I had for about 6 years. I want to tell you right away that Shot Bandit Plus is much better. First, the Shot Bandit Plus has a thinner wire and I've never had a jump from hitting the wire. I've had my Winmau for almost a week now and have had several breakdowns from being hit by a heavier gauge wire. I was a little shocked as this is the board they use for world championship competitions. I also noticed that on Winmau you can see a lot of holes where darts go. Some go, but not all. You don't see them on my shot board. I have never had a stay. As soon as you pull the arrow out it's gone and even after all these years there are still no arrow holes. I know a lot of people love this board but personally I was disappointed. It's a beautiful board, but I can't stand dart holes and I can't stand thick wire. That aside, I think I'll use it for a few years and then go back to shot boards. hope that helps.

Pros
  • Fewer darts lost and superior durability thanks to patented dual-core technology
