I won't go into the exact ratio of down to feathers in the pillow (I dunno) but I will say what is really important. My wife is obsessed with finding the perfect pillow, she buys the latest and greatest new technology in pillows (so much money on pillows) every few months. I've used the same down pillow for 12 years and it's almost rotten. So I did my homework and bought this pillow. You don't feel any spring notches in the pad, and while there's a barrier of sorts, it's not the kind of plastic that shrinks and crunches. When you lie on it the pillow slowly releases air until your head is down which was bliss until my wife tried it. Now it's hers. I may have lost an outstanding pillow but she hasn't complained or shown any interest in a new pillow since. I was lucky I had 2 packs!
