So many boy short swim bottoms are "cheeky" but these hug you a bit more, so nothing is hanging out the back, so to speak. I'm kind of between sizes-- sometimes a 10, sometimes 12, and the L fits perfectly. And they're not just a thin layer of spandex. The fabric feels thicker than that. I like them!
