Review on Logitech G502 HERO: High Performance Wired Gaming Mouse with 25K Sensor, RGB, and 11 Programmable Buttons by Yuan Walsh

Worth it if you're lucky

Logitech seems to have either a quality control issue or a shipping issue because the switches in these mice are absolute junk. The mouse is honestly one of the best mice I've ever used while it worked - until it stopped. For less than a year and $75, you're getting a mouse that feels great in your hand until the scroll wheel starts jumping and left-clicking starts with a random double-click and then stops clicking at all -- all along interruptions. There are plenty of reviews you can find by just googling "double click g502" where people either return them and hope their next one doesn't do the same, return them or, technically, replace the mechanical switch itself with one left click replace. I'm not going down any of those routes, and I'm sad to say this because Logitech used to be a staple of PC peripherals. Now it's not about the plastic it's made of. Edit: As I write this update, I've deducted another star for a true 1-star rating. I don't usually believe in one star reviews because it tends to overreact and everything is either 5 star great or 1 star terrible, but Logitech has dipped into 1 star territory. After literally 15 emails to Logitech support I had to use their website to prove I had a double click issue which was easy but I had to film myself, the mouse and the mouse serial number in a runtime video. I was able to easily reproduce the double click error in both left and right click functions and post the proof. I returned my mouse to Logitech around January 10th, 2020. You received my mouse on January 15, 2020. I hear nothing for 8 days until I contact them again and ask for an update. Nothing yet. Eventually I get an email stating that my product is flawless and therefore not under warranty. Not to mention the proof I had to email them first. Not to mention a 100% reproducible error on both left and right clicks. I will never buy a Logitech product again. Do yourself a favor and google "double click logitech" and ask if you want to buy this mouse, you probably have a problem and then it's out of warranty. I bought a cheap replacement mouse to survive and it still works much better.
