I've been using phone holders in my cars since I got my driver's license. I've tried many different types: windshield suction, dashboard suction, air vent clip. These are by far the best I have ever used and I would advise anyone living in hot climates to get these or at least something with this type of clutch. While naturally aspirated models were great for a time, they always tended to fall at the worst possible moment, especially the windshield versions. They stick where you put them and won't budge, even after spending a full day on your vinyl dashboard in the scorching Caribbean sun. My phone is also quite heavy since it's one of those rugged versions, but they don't budge. It lacks the flexibility and agility of other models, but I would choose everyday functionality and reliability over convenience.
