Review on 🎧 Plantronics Backbeat Fit 2100: Sweatproof & Waterproof Wireless Headphones for Workouts in Black by Kendra Adams

Don't waste your money

Like many other reviewers I had an earlier model of Backbeat Fit bluetooth headphones and loved them for many (I think at least 4) years. I run 6 days a week and sweat like crazy but they have held up great. Eventually they stopped working, so I ordered a replacement. New is NOT better. As mentioned, there is some weird static noise in the background. But I could live with that. After 3 weeks of use everything was going well, and then one morning in the middle of a run the volume suddenly went crazy. It went from high to low and then got stuck in a sort of loop, with a female computer engineer repeating "minimum volume" over and over again. No kidding, I heard you the first 37 times. I figured they might need charging, so I plugged them in and tried them out the next morning. No matter what I did, they wouldn't even come on. I went to the Plantronic website to troubleshoot the issue, but the only source I found was the user manual, which has no troubleshooting suggestions, just instructions for use. So I searched the internet to see what I could find. I've never found a guide on how to fix them, but I've found that there is a class action lawsuit from consumers of this product who have had a similar experience - apparently they break as soon as you buy them. Hurry up and get the old version while stocks last. The previous model was great, but this "upgrade" sucks.
