I got this because the part that goes on the ring broke on my original. Take that blank to Lowes or Home Depot and tell them to just cut it open. They didn't want to make it for me because they said it had a chip, but I cut it out anyway. The chip is in the guts you change. I also had to replace parts of the buttons because the pins were too high and kept them depressed. Otherwise this key works perfectly.
