Sturdy stainless steel. I've decided which one to take between this and IKEA as they are very similar. I'm glad I went for this one as it's a lot sturdier than the IKEA one which looks more like chromed metal than real stainless steel. The size of the product is just right for my use (to put a small kettle and saucepan on top) and it doesn't take up too much counter space.
