This is a very nice design! This isn't a cheap flimsy metal palette, it's a well-engineered addition. Aside from the obvious extra fluid it holds and cools, it strengthens the gear case over stock sumps. .This is not aluminum pallet but powder coating. This requires a little more ground clearance, but most older muscle cars seem to have room. In fact, most of the cars I've seen this on, and mine, have an exhaust under this pan.
