The Plus thimble pack is not only a great deal, it's a great idea. I've tried several styles of thimbles lately and have never found one of the conventional thimbles that fits my (admittedly fairly large) fingers comfortably. These thimbles don't completely cover the finger - just a small spot where the needle often hits. The package contains two metal thimbles - one with a textured finish like a regular thimble and one smooth - to clip onto whichever finger is most comfortable. There are also double sided sticky dots in the pack which are a little tricky to stick onto a metal thimble but once you get the hang of it it becomes quite easy. Stick the glue dot on the finger, remove the cover on the second side and place the thimble of your choice on the dot and press. Now you have the perfect thimble with great freedom of movement. Thimbles do not cover the entire finger. Your finger won't get wet from a rubber thimble or uncomfortable from a metal thimble that doesn't quite fit perfectly. Glue dots can be stored and reused for some time before needing to be replaced. I've just finished a large quilting project without a single stitch or callus and am absolutely delighted with this inexpensive and really good find.
