It's great! I bought 7 of these to install throughout my house and replace my existing intercom speakers with 3rd Gen Echo Dots. In my case, it makes sense because we're using Echo Dots the same way we used the old intercom. Drop-in to talk to each other in different rooms, multi-room music to hear music around the house, and ring the doorbell when someone presses the Ring Doorbell. And we're using it for even more smart home automation features with Alexa. These wall mounts are an easy way to set up echo points and get them out of the way. The sound is great and the mic picks up my voice both in the mount and outside. The mount itself is easy to assemble. A few installation tips. The first is obvious, but make sure you thread the power cord through the hole in the side of the mount before plugging it into the wall. Also keep in mind which way the cable is pointing when installing the mount. You have to be careful not to hit a hairpin or anything like that. I had the cable facing up, so the volume up button was up and the volume down button was down. Finally, be careful not to over-tighten the screws that attach the bracket to the bracket behind the wall; This wasn't a problem for me, but I did see someone tighten the screws so much it damaged the plastic backing of the mount. although I felt I had to overdo it a bit to get to this point. To place the Echo Dot in the mount, simply plug it in. I like that the mount is a pressure fitting. It is easy to remove if necessary. Adapter. However, I only needed the male end of the extension cord, which I plugged into the existing wiring in the wall for my old intercom. (In case you're wondering, no, my old intercom system didn't have the right power rating to power multiple echo points. That's where this 12V power transformer came in handy.) I definitely recommend this flush mount!
