Review on πŸ“¦ Accuteck 86 lb All-In-One Digital Shipping Postal Scale with Adapter - Silver (W-8260-86BS) by Jeff Figueroa

Revainrating 1 out of 5

Not for heavy and large objects!

This scale becomes less accurate the heavier the items. I just shipped 5 boxes via UPS and here are the scales compared to the UPS scale weight: 3lbs / 3lbs (exact!), 4.76lbs / 4.65 (near), 6lbs / 6.2 lbs, 14lbs / 14.95lbs, 30lbs / 36.15lbs. (That's a Β£6 discount!). Weighing a 30 pound car was really difficult, I had to put a framed poster on the scale, tar it and then put a box on top to weigh it. Too bad I didn't take a picture so you can see how fun it was. The dial is small and very difficult to read with a larger element on it. With no poster frame, the box simply sagged around the scales and touched the counter. The item should be centered on the scale, so if you place something larger than the scale on it, the protrusion will prevent you from reading the screen. The screen is really poorly designed, it's only readable from above, so if you have to look a bit under the box you can hardly see the weight. If you need to weigh small items this works great, but if you plan to use this for packages or something big or heavy don't buy it.

Pros
  • Decent performance
Cons
