Review on Better Houseware Ironing Holder 1425 by Jorge Bryant

I originally bought this Rowenta Pro Master 1700W iron stand. So I tried the iron in the holder first and it stood up, but I noticed that there was no extra space. What I didn't realize was that the iron would tip forward two inches from the back of the holder. This has both a plus and a minus: the plus is that you can safely put a hot iron in the cradle; Minus because it takes up extra space on my wall mount. Mine is mounted on the wall next to the stairs in the basement so it protrudes. After reading other buyers' comments, I immediately found four washers to put under the Phillips screws. Without them, the bracket would not be securely attached. Since flat head washers are inexpensive, I'm not sure why the manufacturer didn't include four for installation. I recommend using washers with an inside diameter slightly larger than the thread diameter so they don't pull through the bolt head. This may require a trip to your local hardware store.
