Review on 💡 Silverstone SX750-PT 750W SFX Power Supply - Fully Modular, 80 Plus Platinum Certified by Thomas Henry

I'm using this in my standard PC build and am happy so far as it works well. Admittedly, my build only draws around 10-15% power and the PSU fan didn't activate at all, so I can't say much about fan noise like others. I look forward to porting the 2080ti from my main PC once I can replace it with a newer one from either Nvidia or AMD. I'll update the review if anything changes with the increase in power consumption. It compares well to the Corsair SF750 in my main build. However, as seen in the photos, the cables are not sleeved and are much stiffer than the SF750. I was hoping Silverstone would use more flexible cables like some of their old SFX power supplies or cable sets. This makes cable management a bit more difficult in small form factor builds, but still doable if you take the time. DDR4 memory; 2TB and 4TB nvmeCooler: EK-AIO 240Update: I was able to install an old GTX 780 for testing and load the power supply at 50%. This was enough to turn on the PSU fan, and below are the dBA readings I got using a reed audio level meter at various distances from the center of the PSU: 1": 56-57 dBa3": 52-53 dBa6 " ": 47-48 dBa12": 41-42 dBa Not very good, but not bad if you're gaming and sitting at a decent distance. However, as other people have pointed out, the fan doesn't stop after going to 10 -15% load has returned.I had to overhaul my computer to turn off the PSU fan.For this reason I have to change my rating from 5 to 3 stars and I don't recommend others to buy it like this if they are sensitive to noise and it use in a semi-open/vented case Update 2: As another reviewer noted, Silverstone has found an issue with the fan controller firmware in version 1.0 units and has offered owners a replacement, however since I have decided to ship it back to Si lverstone had to pay I decided to return to Revain instead for a refund. It's great that Silverstone found the problem and fixed it for future owners. Too bad I won't be one of them.
