Bought this as an alternative to the study tower...but it's not big enough for my almost 18 month old (33" tall) to comfortably stand behind the counter. The counter comes up to his armpits, which is not ideal for cooking. :( I probably should have measured it. I'll keep it for potty training etc anyway. I have it in front of my window now and it's perfect for helping him see outside. I've used it myself and it did held up to me but didn't seem super strong (I'm only 140, give or take). I think it will last longer, but it just needs to be considered.
