I just love this printer. So much fun fumbling around and figuring out how this all works. If you learn to love the process of experimentation, then you have what it takes to get into 3D printing. If you're easily frustrated when something goes wrong, don't do it! So far I have used 2 rolls of filament. I'm sure 1/2-1/3 of these were wasted or poorly printed. Just yesterday my imprint turned into a pile of slime! But that's ok, I tweaked more and tried again and it printed fine. Learning how to use the printer means learning how to master the process of leveling the bed. Don't get discouraged, just keep working. That. I recommend the paper method, not the receive method, for alignment. The receipts got too close to my bed. Also check the sealing of some bed level locks, it helped me a lot. You will find that you want to buy accessories and mods. I recommend waiting until you really understand how the printer works. That way you actually know what you want to change and why. Overall this is a great educational printer and I cannot stress enough how much patience you must have and how rewarding it is when you get it!
