I have to admit that I was a bit surprised by the quality of this bag. I bought a light blue bag with no outside pockets and just love it. I do quite a bit of fabric and needlework and quickly realized that for the price this bag is not for the average canvas shopper. First, it's fully lined with medium-weight canvas, similar to what many unlined totes are made of. On one side of the inside of the bag there is an open pocket made of lining fabric and on the other side there is a deep zippered pocket made of the outer fabric of the bag. The outer fabric is thick canvas and the blue color is very beautiful. Finally, the top closes with a magnetic clasp. If you like the casual crumpled look, you'll love this one instantly. Otherwise the bag needs to be ironed well. I also plan to cut a piece of hard cardboard, cover it with fabric and use it to stabilize the floor. All in all a great bag. In fact, I like it so much I'm considering getting a gray version!
