These cornices were pleasantly surprised. I originally intended to buy a Revain Basics because I already have one and am happy with it. They were $8-10 cheaper so I gave them a try. I wish they were 1 inch instead of 5/8. This is my only complaint. The rods are so thin and light that they look a bit cheap. But the staples that come with it are SUPER strong. The best I've ever seen. And - they use a washer in combination with a screw on the end caps so the eaves will ALWAYS stay in place. They never slide in or out when you move the umbrella. And there is no flimsy screw pushing the side of the eaves. I wasn't expecting this feature but it sold me the whole rod set. I like it! Plus, it looks very sleek and stylish without adding bulk and distracting from the curtains. Big improvement with excellent functionality. I like it.
