So the most useless light in the whole car is the license plate light. You'll never see them, but if your halogen lights go out, you'll never notice. THIS IS A BAD DEAL. Many of the states you travel to have laws that require license plate lights to be on at night. These LED lights last more than 5 times longer than your halogen lights. Installation: There is a clip (halogen) on the right side of the lamp installed on your car. You have to push a long flat tool like a flat head screwdriver or butter knife or plastic car tool through (preferably to avoid damage) and you just pull down and the whole part comes loose. Unscrew the wire harness and bulb from the plastic housing a quarter turn counter-clockwise and the plastic housing will come loose. Then remove the halogen bulb (it can be HOT, so wear gloves 🧤). The halogen lamp was connected and the reverse process of removing the old case. Connect the wire from the LED and then reattach it the way the old case was oriented. Once you hear a click, your job is done. Please note: Make sure the LED connector is tight and not lost, there should be significant friction when connecting, it must be tight and not loose, if looser than the wiring harness/license plate light connector on your car needs to be replaced , since the original lamp / this LED version does not remain connected. Start your car at night and make sure they are lit and not flashing. If they flash and go out, it means you haven't connected the light sufficiently and the connection is not strong.
