. Crest Whitestrips and they are by far the worst. Although I appreciate the extra percentage of peroxide

I have used several varieties of Crest Whitestrips and they are by far the worst. While I appreciate the extra percentage of peroxide that you can definitely notice when using it due to the increased gum irritation and tooth sensitivity compared to the lower percentage versions, overall the strip is terrible. This extremely thin film makes them very fragile and difficult to both handle and place. I understand that a thinner film would theoretically allow for a better fit, but the thinness combined with the fact that all the other strips I've used had very good adhesive properties once applied, which they practically don't have, makes them extreme frustrating to use. . The bottom strip is longer than the other versions which is great in theory, covers the teeth more right? But because it's so brittle and doesn't stick to my teeth, the end result is extremely difficult to keep it on my teeth without completely slipping off. This also applies after the teeth have been dried to remove as much saliva as possible before insertion. Most of the time I have clumps of foil on my bottom teeth because the foil isn't high enough to wrap to the base of the back tooth and because it doesn't stick to my teeth they just slide up and over. The top band is slightly better because it is higher and covers the front and back of the teeth. But due to the higher concentration of peroxide compared to lower percentage versions, I get severe gum irritation. This is a compromise. Use a lower concentration for a longer period of time, or a higher concentration and shorter duration. My personal opinion after a week of use is to use the lower concentration for a little longer. A higher concentration will not whiten your teeth, it will just be a slightly faster process. The whitening effect is the result of the total amount of peroxide contact and its duration. So if you use the 10 percent version for some time, you'll get the same results as this 14 percent version in less time. My opinion is to keep the sharpening and use the next lower level. You get better adhesion, which actually gives better results as they stay in place better and are easier to handle and place.
