Bought this to travel with our 3.5 lb Yorkie. It was roomy giving him enough room to move and stretch out and I could still put his blanket down without sacrificing too much space. The outside pockets could hold his retractable leash as well as my keys and a small wallet. The collar clip in the pocket helped keep it in place when he preferred to crawl out. The web is quite strong and his clipped claws didn't tear it in the few times he scratched it. Chains are all strong, metal. The handles are thick enough not to dig into your shoulder. The magnetic closures are strong enough to keep the side flaps open and the top mesh closed. I was able to sneak it through several stores without arousing anyone's curiosity. The bag holds its shape well, but the top edge of the bag shrank under my hand as I carried it, adding to the illusion that it was a handbag rather than a pet carrier. I was able to safely hang my bag on a hook in the powder room without fear of it falling. I appreciate that there are no patches, engravings, or embroidery on this bag to indicate that it's designed to carry pets, unlike many other options I've considered. The mesh is opaque enough that the Yorkie's coloring would not be readily apparent when looking at the top of the bag. I am happy with my purchase.
