Perfect fit right out of the box. It took me a few minutes to figure out that the "shake to stir" iph/ipo setting should be turned off. For the first few minutes I thought the bass was compromising the iph's less (than the ipo) shockproof internals. It wasn't like that. Excellent reggae/dub response at all frequencies used, limited only by cabinet size meaning it won't give you hi-fi depth on either side. For $50 an iPhone/iPod (4 or older) fits securely into a 30 pin jack and delivers cutting vocals, clear highs and very good lows. The remote works, controls the ipo/iph itself and even has some EQ settings, but this feature is handled better on the iph/ipo. I am so impressed that I am buying 3 more AL 650s to give away to friends and family in the US and abroad. short.
