Review on 🐾 Convenient Kaytee Take Me with Small Animal Pet Travel Carrier: A Must-Have for Easy and Safe On-the-Go Adventures! by Abby Libbett

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Almost perfect - you will love it

If you need to transport budgies (parrots) across the country and/or fly your birds this cage is 95% perfect and I love it. I'll start with a 5% deficiency - I disagree with the base and cage being securely connected without additional fastening. In fact, both parts fit together "out of the box"; However, this connection is not tight enough and I'm afraid that the connection might break if it bumps into anything. This is an easy fix (see the picture) - use kitchen twine to tie a knot between the hole in the base and through the cage - there are four holes on each side of the base. This repair takes 5 minutes and makes the cage perfect. Also, the cage is a good size for two budgies. We kept them there for almost 20 hours and they were fine - we had an early flight and had to put them in a travel cage the night before. Enough space for a food bowl (with half a millet), a large water bowl (with half an orange) and a perch. I threw a sweatshirt on them on the plane and they sleep all the time, but here and there. Tip: TSA made us take out our food and water plates for inspection, so be prepared to open the cage to get them out. This isn't really a problem, but you'll have to use your hand to cover most of the top opening to make sure they don't come out. This is a basic, well-priced cage that comes ready to use, but you can make it the best transport cage with a small, simple, and cheap modification - kitchen twine. Finally, if you fly United, the cage fits perfectly under the seat in front of you. I was in the Economy Plus section and there was plenty of room in the cage.
