Good radio but needs to connect bluetooth every time you turn on the radio

Firstly good value for money, installation was easy thanks to the labels on the harness. I installed this radio in my 2000 Toyota Camry. The custom Toyota wiring harness bought off eBay was easy to fit. Was able to use the existing terminals to connect to the radio. AM FM radio sounds good, could pick up all local radio stations, FM radio doesn't show the song being played. like beeps when playing music. The reversing camera display has a delay of approx. 4 seconds. The display is clear and bright, there is a brightness adjustment or screen rotation, there is a graphic equalizer. In the settings you can set the time and date, steering wheel controls (my car doesn't have steering wheel controls so can't tell if it needs extra gear, but the radio has swc1 and swc 2 wires on the back), you can also select a different background to choose from, no own can be uploaded. Also a setting to toggle the beep and passive display volume on or off (the clock stays on when the radio is off). My only issue is with Bluetooth connectivity: the radio needs to be paired with the phone every time it's turned on. You have to navigate. In the Bluetooth settings on your phone, select a pair and enter 0000 to pair with the radio. I have a Galaxy S4 and have also tried an Apple phone and the same problem, for some reason the radio doesn't save the settings.

Pros
  • Nice packaging
Cons
  • Definitely a bad product
