I love these ratchet straps especially for my formal and semi-formal dress which I wear almost every work day. This is probably the sixth belt of this type that I have had in the last 3 years. In general the quality is excellent, there is no sign of deterioration, although it has probably been used twice a week - in the last 3 months. It doesn't have the little thumb lever that many need to take the pressure off the ratcheting portion of the strap. . You simply lift the front end of the buckle to release it. Very simple and of course very effective (albeit randomly)! I don't really have any cons except one. For some reason this strap makes it a lot easier to skip the loop on the other side of the buckle mechanism and when you do, the buckle pushes the strap in firmly making it difficult to pull back to get it lined up properly. I probably do this every other week and it's a little frustrating, but it's not that big of a deal. Highly recommended!
