Review on ๐Ÿ’Ž Maximize Your Polishing Potential with Meguiar's MT300 Dual Action Variable Speed Polisher by Shafiq Wang

Revainrating 4 out of 5

Great polisher but expensive for DA 8mm.

I bought this to replace my other Harbor Freight DA polisher so this review will be mostly about comparing them. However, I have no other DA polishers to compare it to. Pros: + Weight: It's VERY light and easy on my back after a full day of buffing. My other DA weighs about a pound more. +Smoothness: I don't get any weird vibes from it and it keeps the DA to a minimum "walking" on you. + Noise: It's quiet, especially compared to my other DA. + Trigger lock: incredibly useful! It took me a minute (actually) to figure out that you pressed the trigger lock button and then released the trigger for it to fire. This was supposed to be a scam before I realized I was stupid and corrected my user error. + Soft start: I love this feature so I don't throw things everywhere since I'm not a pro. Soft start would be an issue if I hadn't figured out the trigger lock as sometimes you have to switch hands when using it, but with lock I can run and run it once. + Twist grip: I definitely prefer the extended twist grip, especially when used on tall trucks and SUVs. Cons: - Digital Torque Control: It works, but even with the thinnest pads on the market you still need to adjust your technique to get spin. Cars these days have so many curves that it takes some practice to get it right. In some nooks and crannies, however, it doesn't turn. - Value: There are other cheaper, more powerful 8mm DAs (Griot, HF) or even long range ones in the same price range (Adams) if you want to go down this route. And Meguiar's has a shorter warranty than Griot or Adam's. I hope I never have the power cord problem that some people have, but I know Meguiar's will take care of me. Summary: Meguiar's MT300 is a huge improvement over my HF. Polisher and it's not even close. I usually feel exhausted and very sore at the end of the day, but the MT300 does that much better for me. Everything about this polisher is better than my other one. Its cost can be questionable compared to some others, so all you have to do is find the price range and feature list that works for you. But overall I am very happy with this polish!
