Thumbs up! - Accessory

I used to have a JJC remote and it worked great. I chose this mini model because it has a keyhole so I can hang it on a string and always have it handy. My hands are free in setting up the camera and preventing loss. At first I thought it wouldn't work. The instructions were stuck to the bottom of the box and didn't fall out when I turned the package over. It uses a CR 2025 button cell battery which is not that expensive or difficult to find. The remote worked perfectly after I corrected the position of the battery as shown in the instructions. I've included a picture showing how to position the battery in the compartment so others don't make the same mistake. I've tried the normal shutter, 2 second delay and video buttons and they all worked flawlessly. There's a slight lag with the normal shutter release, but I think that's due to the focus. I also bought a basic wired remote shutter release. With this I can half press the button to focus and I have a shutter button and when the IR remote batteries are low I have that as an option. There are times when I would like to use a wired IR remote control, e.g. B. when I'm on the beach and don't want to risk sea spray in my ports. Remember that when aiming the IR remote control, the camera sensor is in front. So aim it at the front sensor as people seem to forget this and then wonder why the remote doesn't work or works well. For the price and convenience I have to give this remote 5 stars. Updating this review if I run into any issues, but so far so good.
