Our original Panasonic batteries that came with our KX-TGA680 years ago were finally starting to wear out/discharge, so I decided to find a good replacement. After seeing the shocking prices for "official" replacement parts here and at the WAY overpriced Panasonic parts stores, I tried several brands of AAA NiMH batteries and thought they all seemed the same. And while other brands I've tried have been good for other purposes, I've found that not all are created equal when it comes to cell phones. Panasonic KX-TGA680 phones need real HHR-4DPA/2B phone batteries, not just old batteries. In my experience, this is the best replacement for Panasonic KX-TGA680 (TGA680S and TGA680B) batteries. Highly rated/well rated 1100mAh AAA batteries (like Zonhood and others) that are good for most purposes BUT drain quickly in TGA680 PHONE phones. On the contrary, these Synergy 1000mAh are incredible and have breathed new life into our phones. When I tested, I first tried other brands AAA NiMH 1000mah/1100mah in our TGA680 phones and after fully charged, I just left the TGA680 phones on the table without a charger. In just a few hours, the charge of other brands dropped to less than 50%. So instead of resorting to the Panasonic parts sites where they charge over $20 shipping for just 2 batteries, I decided to give them a try. Wow! Ideal. Not only can you go days without a charger without losing more than "1 bar" of charge on the meter, but the signal and clarity have improved like new, and even the headphone jack no longer makes crackling noises. And the price? Can't win! (They currently cost $9.95 for a pack of 4 batteries). I am ordering more and replacing all of our TGA680 phone batteries with them. I was skeptical after trying so many other AAA NiMH replacement parts that sucked but glad I found them. be). You need HHR-4DPA/2B batteries for KX-TGA680 phones or you just have batteries that drain faster than your original/old Panasonics. They must be purchased for KX-TGA680 phones!
