I have a 2001 BMW Z3 Roadster and have engine code P0444, purge control valve circuit open. This is the easy part to install so I did it myself instead of going to a mechanic. An OEM part costs anywhere from $86 to over $100 depending on where you buy it. I decided to try this aftermarket part first and if it works I'll save $$. I installed it and it works great. The engine gauge didn't come back. The only issue I had was having to turn the valve at an angle to get the rubber piece to fit onto the bracket it fits where the original part had the rubber piece in a different location to make installation easier. In general, everything came up and works, I'm happy.
