I am an applique hand embroiderer and wanted to use the desktop ironing board on my kitchen counter. At my age, I also needed to be a little "closer" so I could control iron placement on small pieces of fabric better than standing over a large ironing board. This ironing board is perfect for my needs! It's durable and I can safely press the iron firmly onto the fabric. I can leave the board legs up or down depending on where I'm using the board, which gives me a little more height flexibility. It stores very easily on a table or chest and is great for my travel iron.
