I know what you're thinking - how good can a moisturizer be at this price point? For me this is my holy grail of moisturizers and I have tried Clinique, SKII, La Prairie, La Mer, La Roche Posay, Avene. The amount I've spent trying to find a good antiaging moisturizer is almost obscene considering the modest price tag for that simple little orange jar. Don't let the packaging fool you - the jar is pretty, but it's plastic and feels a bit like a child's toy (it's soft to the touch and heavy). ). It comes with a spatula and depending on the length of your nails / how picky you are about getting bacteria into the jar from your fingers you should definitely use a spatula as the moisturizer is a little sticky. The scent is reminiscent of a classic St. Ives with the addition of citrus. It's a bit strong but honestly it can smell like wet dog and I'll use it anyway because it works well. However, if you are sensitive to fragrances, you need to be aware of this - it does NOT have a mild scent, but it does fade quickly. I use it almost every day, sometimes twice a day. Always in the morning under Shiseido sunscreen (followed by makeup) and sometimes in the evening over tretinoin. It absorbs fairly quickly and is very, very soothing in the winter when your skin gets dry. In winter my skin gets to the point where only avocado oil doesn't burn, but of all the moisturizers I've used, this burns the least and for the shortest amount of time. I've also used it on hot days and it's perfect on my dry skin, although I'm not sure how well it would work on normal/oily skin. It might be a bit difficult. I have a second jar and my only regret is that it doesn't have a gigantic saver size so I can literally shelter myself in it during the colder months. It's such a relief to finally have a product that moisturizes, smoothes fine lines and doesn't cost a fortune!
