I bought this as a gift for my dad who has recently started making music again in his 70's and needed a simple lighting solution for his music videos at home. I chose this particular ring light simply because of its unique design. The rectangular oval shape can be adjusted vertically or horizontally, tilted up or down, and distributes the light more evenly in the room. You can choose from three lighting modes (cool white, warm incandescent light and a combination of both), which can be controlled with the included remote control. You can adjust the brightness from the minimum about 10 times before reaching the maximum for the optimal setting. It is easy to assemble, lightweight and easy to use. I am very impressed with the overall quality of this light, especially for the price! The recipient was also very happy :)
